President Zardari Commends A.Q. Khan Hospital Trust for Serving Underprivileged

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari praised the efforts of the A.Q. Khan Hospital Trust in providing essential free medical and healthcare services to the underprivileged sectors of society. His commendation came during a meeting with a delegation from the hospital, headed by Dr. Dina Khan, daughter of the late Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, a revered national scientist.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting highlighted President Zardari’s commitment to support the Trust. He acknowledged the public’s generous contributions to the hospital, which play a crucial role in ensuring that the needy have access to healthcare services.

During the discussions, Dr. Dina Khan informed President Zardari about the operational aspects of the hospital and its contributions to public health. She also addressed some critical challenges the Trust faces, including past financial misconduct by some former trustees who mismanaged the Trust’s accounts.

President Zardari expressed the nation’s gratitude towards Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan for his lifetime services and assured that the government would address the Trust’s issues promptly.
