President Zardari Embarks on Strategic Week-Long Visit to China

Lahore: President Asif Ali Zardari left for China today on a week-long visit. Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan was present at Lahore Airport to see off the President. This visit is being undertaken at the invitation of the Government of the People’s Republic of China.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari is scheduled to visit Changsha in Hunan Province and Sanya in Hainan Province. During his visit, he will engage in meetings with the provincial leadership, focusing on strengthening Pakistan-China bilateral relations. Key discussions will revolve around economic and trade cooperation, with particular emphasis on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

This visit is part of the ongoing tradition of high-level exchanges between Pakistan and China. It holds special significance as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations, a milestone being celebrated this year.
