Prime Minister of Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Palestine Amid Ongoing Crisis

Islamabad: The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, met with the Palestinian Ambassador, Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamadallah Zaid, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to the Palestinian cause and condemning recent violence in Gaza. During their meeting, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s support for Palestine’s right to self-determination and criticized Israel’s actions leading to significant casualties.

According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire and the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians. He also called for a resolution based on a two-state solution, aligning with UN resolutions for an independent Palestine with pre-1967 borders and Jerusalem as its capital. Ambassador Zaid expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s consistent support and the humanitarian aid extended by Pakistan, including scholarships for Palestinian students. The meeting concluded with Prime Minister Sharif expressing his commitment to supporting the Ambassador during his tenure in Pakistan.
