Prime Minister Praises Morocco for Assisting Pakistani Nationals After Dakhla Boat Incident

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended Pakistan’s gratitude to the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, and the Moroccan government for their assistance in rescuing and repatriating Pakistani nationals involved in a recent boat capsizing near Dakhla.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister conveyed these sentiments during a meeting with the Moroccan Ambassador to Pakistan, Mohamed Karmoune. The meeting took place in Islamabad, where the ambassador paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the cooperation extended by Moroccan authorities in facilitating the safe return of the survivors and in the repatriation of the remains of those who lost their lives in the tragedy.

Highlighting the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Morocco, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the potential for further strengthening ties. He pointed to opportunities in enhancing trade, investment, and promoting greater people-to-people contacts between the two nations.

In response, the Moroccan Ambassador reaffirmed his country’s dedication to deepening cooperation with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest.
