Prime Minister Sharif Emphasizes Pakistan’s Dedication to SAARC’s Goals

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s strong commitment to the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), emphasizing the organization’s crucial role in regional development and prosperity.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a meeting with SAARC Secretary General Muhammad Golam Sarwar, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his hopes for the organization to serve as a vehicle for progress in the region. He congratulated Sarwar on his new role as the 15th Secretary General of SAARC and discussed Pakistan’s desire to enhance bilateral relations with Bangladesh, highlighting the potential benefits for regional cooperation. The Secretary General appreciated the warm reception and shared his vision for SAARC to become an effective platform for regional collaboration.
