Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Advocates Enhanced Pakistan-Turkiye Cooperation in Key Sectors.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the importance of intensifying cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye in the areas of trade, investment, and defense. This call to action was made during a meeting with Turkiye’s Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu, who paid a visit to the Prime Minister in Islamabad.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif expressed satisfaction with the increasing bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye. He also expressed appreciation for Turkiye’s consistent support regarding the Kashmir issue. In return, the Prime Minister assured that Pakistan would continue to support Turkiye on its core interests.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Ambassador Neziroglu and expressed his desire to work closely with him to further strengthen the bilateral ties. The Prime Minister extended his best wishes to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and reiterated his invitation to the Turkish President to visit Pakistan officially at his earliest convenience.

Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu conveyed his commitment to enhancing the friendship and cooperation between the two countries. The meeting also included discussions on the regional situation, with particular focus on developments in Gaza and the broader Middle East.
