Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Advocates for Enhanced Pakistan-Malaysia Business Collaborations

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has pledged full support for fostering joint ventures between Pakistan and Malaysia, targeting key industries such as halal meat, information technology, electric vehicles, and semiconductors. This commitment was voiced during the Malaysia-Pakistan High Level Business Dialogue, which also featured Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the dialogue aimed to catalyze business cooperation between the two nations. Prime Minister Sharif encouraged Pakistani entrepreneurs to seize the substantial trade opportunities offered by the partnership. He emphasized the need for the business community to engage actively with their Malaysian counterparts to explore and expand joint ventures.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim highlighted the participation of over 30 Malaysian delegations at the event, underscoring the strong interest from Malaysian businesses in exploring opportunities in Pakistan. He also announced the upcoming opening of a Malaysian trade office in Karachi next month, a move that signifies Malaysia’s commitment to enhancing trade and investment ties with Pakistan.
