Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Premier Li Qiang Advance Key Projects and Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Islamabad: In a series of high-level discussions, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan and Chinese Premier Li Qiang have successfully pushed forward with significant initiatives under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). These talks, aimed at enhancing various sectors such as trade, investment, and regional security, underscore the deepening strategic partnership between the two nations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the leaders expressed satisfaction with the progress of crucial CPEC projects and committed to ensuring their timely completion. Prime Minister Sharif shared insights from the meetings on the social media platform X, highlighting the broad spectrum of cooperation, including in energy, agriculture, information technology, and defense.

The discussions also touched on the pivotal role of the strategic partnership in maintaining regional stability and prosperity. Notably, the leaders presided over the completion ceremony of the New Gwadar International Airport, a landmark project under CPEC, which is expected to boost connectivity and economic growth in the region.

Additionally, the exchange of multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the visit is set to further enhance bilateral cooperation across various fields.
