Rawalpindi: The Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, attended the concluding session of an Army War Game in Rawalpindi on September 5, 2024. The session was marked by detailed briefings on the war game outcomes and the operational readiness of the Pakistan Army, addressing a wide range of potential threats.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, the Prime Minister was accompanied by key cabinet members including the Defence Minister, Finance Minister, and Information Minister, as well as the Chief of the Army Staff and other senior military officials. During the session, the Prime Minister was briefed on the strategic outcomes of the recently concluded war game and the current state of the military’s operational capabilities.
Prime Minister Sharif expressed his complete satisfaction with the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Army. He acknowledged the crucial role of the Armed Forces in maintaining regional strategic stability and the balance of power, which is vital for peace within the nuclear-capable South Asia.
He also praised the new employment concepts and structural reforms within the military, which are designed to enhance the deterrence regime. Such measures are aimed at imposing significant retributive costs on any adversary in case of aggression.
The military leadership reiterated their firm commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity under any circumstances. It was emphasized that the Pakistan Army is fully aware of the current security challenges and will persistently advance its capabilities to counter any hostile intentions against Pakistan.
