Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has made an appeal to the nation to conduct Salat al-Istisqa, a special prayer for rain, amidst urgent environmental concerns.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister urged religious scholars and leaders to take an active role in organizing Salat al-Istisqa across the country. He emphasized that the anticipated rain would not only improve the environmental conditions but also assist in alleviating the prevalence of diseases.

The Prime Minister has called for special prayers to seek relief from the current issues faced by the populace. He directed that Salat al-Istisqa should be arranged in all mosques governed by both federal and provincial authorities, underscoring the immediate necessity for rain in the present circumstances.
