Proposal to Displace People of Gaza Deemed Unjust by Foreign Office

Islamabad: The Foreign Office has stated that the proposal to displace the people of Gaza is deeply troubling and unjust.

According to Radio Pakistan, the statement emphasized that Palestinian land rightfully belongs to the Palestinian people, and the only viable and just solution is the two-state solution, in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions. The Foreign Office affirmed Pakistan’s longstanding support for the Palestinian people in their struggle for self-determination, as well as for the establishment of a sovereign, independent, and contiguous Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

The statement further highlighted that any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land or continue illegal settlements would violate international law and undermine the peace and security of the entire region. The Foreign Office reiterated Pakistan’s call for the return of all displaced Palestinians to their homes, including in Gaza.

Moreover, the statement called for a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the occupied territories, an increase in humanitarian assistance, an end to all obstructions, and concerted international efforts for the early reconstruction of Gaza.
