Protesters demand rehabilitation of flood-affected traders

Srinagar, October 08, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, freedom leaders and traders took to the streets at Qamarwari in Srinagar to press for early rehabilitation of the flood-affected people, particularly, the business community.

Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League leader, Imtiyaz Reshi along with other party leaders led the demonstration. Reshi on this occasion said that the business community of Kashmir had offered countless sacrifices during freedom movement.

He appealed to the international community to come forward in a big way for rehabilitation of the affected people, traders and businessmen of the territory.
The JKPL leader strongly condemned the brute use of force by police on peaceful protesters on the Eid Day.

Expressing concern over the continued human rights violations in Kashmir by Indian army and police he said that India was adopting every dirty method to dislodge people from demanding right to self-determination.

He, however, said that such tactics had failed in the past and would meet the same fate in future as well.
