Provincial Development Working Party of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa approves 15 development schemes costing Rs5345.947 million

Peshawar, January 10, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) while considering 19 development projects has approved 15 schemes costing Rs. 5345.947 million covering roads, research and development, mines and mineral, information, industries, environment, law and justice and home sectors.

The PDWP meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khalid Pervez and attended by the administrative secretaries of the department and officers of the sponsoring agencies. Sectoral features of the projects approved by PDWP on 9 January, 2014 are as under:

In roads sector, the PDWP approved 6 schemes costing Rs. 1787.293 million, in research and development sector 2 schemes costing Rs. 1200.143 million, industries sector one scheme costing Rs. 1186.431 million, mines and mineral sector, one scheme costing Rs. 509.823 million, information sector one scheme costing Rs. 250.000 million, transport sector one scheme costing Rs. 282.530 million, environment sector one scheme costing Rs. 2.000 million, law and justice sector, one scheme costing Rs. 117.727 million and home sector one scheme costing Rs. 10.000 million. Thus the total cost of 15 approved scheme was Rs. 5345.947 million.
