Provincial Labour Department would establish Child Healthcare Centre in Lahore

Lahore, March 08, 2013 (PPI-OT): Provincial Labour Department would establish Child Healthcare Centre in Lahore Township Industrial area for the working women of industrial area. This was announced by Divisional Labour Officer Chaudhry Muhammad Naeem during a meeting with PIAF Chairman Malik Tahir Javaid. Senior Vice Chairman Lahore Township Industrial Area Association (LTIA) Muhammad Anis Qadri and LTIA Vice Chairman Mian Khurram Ilyas were also present on the occasion.

The PIAF Chairman appreciated the Labour Department decision and said that the PIAF would soon be submitting a written proposal to the Department for the sake of responsibilities including acquisition of land and purchase of equipment for this mega project for the welfare of working women.

Malik Tahir Javaid informed the Labour Department team that the LTIA covers an area of eight square kilometres and it has in its folds around 300 industrial units including manufacturers of engineering products, textiles, pharmaceuticals and plastic etc and thousands of women are attached with these units besides a large number of men.

He said that LTIA is in dire need of a Childcare centre in its premises therefore the industrialists of the area would extend maximum support for the early completion of this mega project. The PIAF Chairman said that Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front would continue to support all the government projects aimed at economic revival of the country.
