Islamabad: The three-day international conference entitled “Promoting South Asia Regional Cooperation in Higher Education (PSARCHE)”, involving higher education leaders, subject matter experts and policy makers from South Asian region as well as other countries has kicked off in Islamabad today.
According to a statement by Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, the event was inaugurated by Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, who served as the chief guest at the opening ceremony.
The conference is organized by HEC Pakistan under its World Bank funded Higher Education Development in Pakistan (HEDP) Project. It aims to create a collaborative environment to foster cross-border partnerships, strengthen regional networks, and lay the groundwork for sustainable improvements in higher education across South Asia.
By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the conference is set to offer discussions, keynotes, presentations, and visits to high-performing universities in Pakistan that are pioneering the latest Ed-Tech solutions available worldwide.
