PTA and Meta Launch Campaign Against Scam Traps in Pakistan

Pakistan: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and Meta have joined hands to protect users from online scams and ensure a secure and trustworthy digital ecosystem for all.

According to Radio Pakistan, PTA and Meta have launched a campaign named ‘Is This Legit’ to raise awareness for common scam traps within Pakistan.

Chairman PTA, Hafeez Ur Rehman, commended the collaboration, emphasizing PTA’s commitment to foster a secure and informed digital environment.

Head of Pakistan Public Policy at Meta, Dania Mukhtar, highlighted that scammers are constantly adapting their tactics, targeting multiple apps and platforms simultaneously, which makes it challenging to apprehend them.
