PTA Blocks Websites Spreading Profane, Obscene Content.

Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has taken action against websites disseminating profane and obscene content, resulting in the blocking of a significant number of these sites.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the PTA has effectively blocked over one hundred thousand URLs deemed blasphemous. Additionally, a total of 844,008 websites containing obscene material have been restricted. This move reflects the authority’s ongoing efforts to regulate internet content and uphold cultural and moral standards in the country.
