Dubai: Pakistan’s leading telecommunications provider, PTCL Group, has announced a strategic partnership with Mercantile, Apple’s authorized distributor in Pakistan, at the GITEX Global 2025 event in Dubai. The agreement was formalized by Asif Ahmad, Group Chief Business Solutions Officer of PTCL and Ufone 4G, and Nauman Durrani, CEO Pakistan, SVP Sage – Mercantile. The signing was attended by senior officials from both organizations, including President and Group CEO Hatem Bamatraf. A key feature of the collaboration is the introduction of innovative financing models under the Device as a Service (DaaS) framework. This model is designed to empower organizations and employees by making enterprise mobility more accessible, scalable, and financially feasible.
Asif Ahmad expressed optimism about the expanded partnership, underscoring its potential to enhance the accessibility of Apple’s technology for business customers in Pakistan. He highlighted the DaaS framework’s role in making enterprise mobility more viable and scalable, aligning with PTCL Group’s vision of leveraging innovative technology to transform businesses.
Nauman Durrani echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the opportunity to extend Apple’s premium products to Pakistan’s business community through PTCL’s extensive network. He noted that Apple’s reputation for quality and customer confidence could significantly boost digitization efforts in the country’s enterprise sector.
