Pune Woman Suffers Gang Rape; Male Companion Assaulted

Pune: A 21-year-old woman was subjected to a gang rape in the Bopdev Ghar area on the outskirts of Pune, Maharashtra, with her male companion also assaulted during the incident.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the police reported that the woman, accompanied by her male friend, visited the locality late Thursday night. It was during this visit that three unidentified individuals attacked and raped her, as detailed by a senior official from Pune police.

The police are currently investigating the incident, seeking to identify and apprehend the suspects. This case adds to the troubling instances of sexual violence in India, prompting ongoing concerns regarding the safety of women across the country.
