Punjab Chief Minister holds ceremony in Honour of Organisers of Quaid-E-Azam Day Ceremony

Lahore, January 06, 2018 (PPI-OT):rom Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif a ceremony was held in the honour of chiefs of institutions, officers and staff who showed excellent performance for the completion of the first phase of the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKIL) and organizers of the ceremony held in connection with the Quaid-e-Azam Day. The chief minister distributed cash prizes and certificates to the chiefs of institutions, officers and the staff. Addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister Punjab Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif said I am very pleased to host a ceremony for you and we are gathered here to praise and encourage those who played vital role in the completion of the first phase of the PKIL and organizers of the ceremony on the Quaid-e-Azam Day.

He said you are the heroes of the nation and the whole team of the PKLI worked round-the-clock to complete it in time. He said they worked with determination and courage, and completed the equal-to-impossible project in time. He said every patient admitted in the hospital will pray for them and they will earn blessings of this life and hereafter through this project. He said we completed the Sahiwal 1320 MW coal project six month before the deadline and officer Mohammed Nidhi Chaudhary played praiseworthy role in its completion and a cash price of 2 million rupees was awarded to him for his encouragement. He said the completion of this project before deadline has boosted the national economy.

The Chief Minister said I also congratulate the organizers of the Quaid-e-Azam Day ceremony and in this ceremony the founder leaders of Pakistan and those who sacrificed their lives for the creation of country were presented glowing tributes. He said we have brought about revolution in education, health, energy, road infrastructure and other sectors. He said Shahre Khamoshan is a great project of Lahore that has been completed and similar projects will also be set up in other parts of the province.

He said work on a mega project on the provision of potable water is continuing at the fast place. He said mega projects in the energy sector have helped elimination of loadshedding. He said education scholarships to three lakhs and fifty thousand needy students have been given under the Punjab Education Endowment Fund and under this educational fund thousands of students are getting education in foreign countries.

He said 90,000 children working in brick kilns have been enrolled in schools and these children will ensure a bright future for Pakistan. He said we are responsible for providing education to every child and we will discharge this responsibility with hard work and dedication, and this destination cannot be attained by merely delivering speeches and it requires practical measures. He said provincial ministers, lawmakers and bureaucrats are my team and working for the service of the people.

He said hard work of my team gives courage to me and Chief Secretary Captain (retired) Zahid Saeed, chairman P and D Jahanzeb Khan, Secretary to CM Imdadullah Bosal and Secretary Information Raja Jahangir Anwar are hard worker members of my team and all APNS delegations who called on me have praised Raja Jahangir Anwar and called him a gem. Provincial ministers Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Khwaja Salman Rafiq, president PKL I Trust Dr Saeed Akhtar also dressed the ceremony. Provincial minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Khawaja Salman Rafiq, spokesperson of Punjab government Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, the chief secretary, the chairman P and D also participated in the ceremony.
