Punjab CM and Bangladeshi High Commissioner Aim to Boost Bilateral Cooperation

Lahore: High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Pakistan Iqbal Hussain Khan met with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties between the two regions.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to enhance cooperation across various sectors including mutual trade, industrial collaboration, and agricultural partnerships. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz commended Bangladesh’s advancements in the garments industry, microfinance, and its women-led workforce, expressing her enthusiasm for potential collaborations under the “Women First” agenda.

The Chief Minister highlighted the prospects for cooperation in women-led industrial clusters and digital up-skilling programs, emphasizing the potential for collaboration in agriculture and food security between Punjab and Bangladesh.
