Punjab CM and US Consul General Discuss Enhanced Bilateral Cooperation

Lahore: Newly appointed US Consul General Stetson Sanders called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore on Thursday. The Chief Minister extended her congratulations to Sanders on his new role as Consul General in Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation in various sectors of mutual interest, including trade, energy, technology, agriculture, and educational exchanges. Chief Minister Nawaz expressed optimism about the growing volume of Pak-US bilateral trade, viewing it as a positive development.

The Chief Minister highlighted the provincial government’s initiatives in water-efficient farming, precision agriculture, and the development of cold chain infrastructure. She extended an invitation to US agri-tech companies to invest in these promising areas, emphasizing the potential for mutual benefit and growth.
