Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed police to intensify efforts to control crime and ensure protection of the lives and property of citizens.
According to Radio Pakistan, during a high-level meeting on law and order in Lahore today, the Chief Minister announced decisive action against corruption and directed that District Police Officers in high-crime districts would be held accountable for their performance.
The Chief Minister also instructed the authorities to prepare a comprehensive plan for complete control of crimes against women and children and emphasized the importance of strict implementation of the zero-tolerance policy.
