Punjab CM Engages with AIIB Chief Investment Officer on Development Initiatives

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz held a meeting with Chief Investment Officer of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Konstantin Limitovskiy in Lahore today. The discussion focused on strengthening infrastructure and development projects in the region.

According to Radio Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz highlighted key initiatives such as the ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ housing programme, electric bus projects, and e-bike schemes. These projects aim to enhance urban living and promote sustainable development in Punjab.

During the meeting, the Punjab Chief Minister expressed her appreciation for the support provided by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in improving Lahore’s water supply, sanitation, wastewater, and drainage systems. She emphasized the province’s commitment to climate-smart infrastructure, modern urban governance, clean water, healthcare, and efficient public transport.

Maryam Nawaz reiterated the importance of these initiatives in enhancing the quality of life for citizens in Punjab, ensuring that the region remains at the forefront of sustainable development efforts.
