Lahore: Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resources Mansha Ullah Butt has announced that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is implementing a comprehensive strategy to improve the welfare of workers across the province.
According to Radio Pakistan, the announcement was made during a ceremony for the laying of the foundation stone of the Diagnostic Collection Center at Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital in Lahore. The Minister emphasized that the Social Security System is being modernized to meet contemporary standards, aiming to enhance healthcare services for workers.
The new project is expected to mark the beginning of a self-sufficient health system under Social Security. Mansha Ullah Butt also revealed plans to establish additional diagnostic centers in other Social Security Hospitals, ensuring accessible healthcare for workers. The Minister reiterated that treatment and diagnostic services for workers will remain free of charge, highlighting the government’s commitment to their welfare.
