Punjab CM Praises Performance of Health Department in Flood-Hit Areas

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has praised the performance of the Health Department in the flood-affected districts of the province. Chairing a meeting in Lahore, she highlighted the department’s efforts in treating over one million patients during the flood situation.

According to Radio Pakistan, the chief minister emphasized that Punjab set a new record by conducting Cervical Cancer Vaccination for 6.5 million girls in the province. This achievement highlights the province’s commitment to public health despite the challenging circumstances.

The meeting also revealed that Community Health Inspectors from the Health and Population Department have collected data from 32,000 houses. This data collection is crucial for understanding the health needs and planning future interventions in the flood-hit areas.

Additionally, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed the Special Education Department to devise projects for the welfare of special persons. Her directive aims to ensure that the needs of all community segments are addressed, particularly the vulnerable and differently-abled individuals.
