Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting in Lahore today to review monsoon preparedness in the province. The meeting focused on ensuring readiness and effective response strategies for the upcoming monsoon season and potential flooding challenges.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister instructed relevant authorities to carry out immediate mock exercises to assess and improve the province’s preparedness for monsoon-related emergencies. Emphasis was placed on enhancing coordination among disaster management agencies to ensure a seamless response during emergencies. Additionally, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of strengthening logistics at the district level to facilitate a swift and effective flood response.
