Punjab CM Underlines Need of Improving Higher Education

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has emphasized the need for enhancing the quality of higher education across the province.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting chaired in Lahore, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of upgrading the educational standards in Punjab’s universities and colleges. The discussion pointed towards the critical need for reforms and improvements in the higher education sector to meet international standards.

The meeting was informed about the interest shown by several foreign universities from the UK, Korea, and Kazakhstan in establishing campuses in Punjab. This move is expected to foster international collaborations and provide students with access to global educational resources and opportunities right in their home province.

In a bid to further improve the management and administrative efficiency in higher education institutions, the meeting also resolved to establish College Management Councils in government colleges. This initiative aims to enhance the governance of colleges and ensure a better educational environment for students.
