Punjab Government to Allocate Plots for 3,200 Journalists in Lahore

Lahore: In a significant move, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Information Minister Uzma Zahid Bukhari have announced plans to allocate plots to 3,200 journalists in Lahore. The decision, aimed at supporting the journalist community, includes the development of Journalist Colony Lahore Phase 2, with directives to expedite legal processes.

According to Chief Minister of Punjab, the Ministry of Information has been instructed to initiate immediate steps for the development of the Journalist Colony Lahore Phase 2. The Chief Minister emphasized that allocating plots to journalists is a right, not a favor, and all merit and legal requirements will be strictly fulfilled.

The Punjab Ministry of Information has decided to invite applications from members of the Lahore Press Club and other journalists based in Lahore. A formal advertisement is expected to be released within the next few days to commence the application process.
