Punjab Governor and Somali Ambassador Explore Strengthening Education and Commerce Ties

Lahore: Ambassador of Somalia in Pakistan, Sheikh Noor Mohammad Hassan, met Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan in Lahore today. During the meeting, both officials discussed matters of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance bilateral ties in sectors such as education and commerce.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Somalian Ambassador conveyed the challenges faced by Somalian students in Pakistan. In response, the Punjab Governor emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in education and commerce. He announced that a Focal Person would be appointed to address the issues faced by students from Somalia and other countries.

The Somalian Ambassador acknowledged the value of Somalia’s relationship with Pakistan, highlighting the import of surgical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and other products from Pakistan. He expressed his commitment to further strengthening the bilateral ties between the two nations.
