Punjab Govt Decides to Construct 17 Mini Dams Across Province

Lahore: Punjab Government has decided to construct seventeen mini dams across the province. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore today.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that these dams will help reduce losses due to floods. She emphasized the importance of this initiative in managing flood-related challenges in the region.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the relevant authorities to restore the Flood Zones by eliminating encroachments. She also instructed for continuous monitoring to prevent illegal construction in the river path, highlighting the need for vigilance in protecting these critical areas.
