Punjab Govt Decides to Launch Campaign Against Illegal Weapons After Eid-ul-Fitr

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has decided to transform the Crime Control Department into a premier investigation agency. The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister in Lahore today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister also approved the establishment of a state-of-the-art headquarters equipped with the latest investigative and technological tools. The meeting also approved the launch of a province-wide campaign against illegal weapons after Eid-ul-Fitr and decided to introduce new legislation to curb the proliferation of illegal arms.
