Punjab govt establishes steering committee to promote tourism

Punjab Government has established a twenty-six member steering committee to promote tourism in the province.

Senator Pervaiz Rasheed has been specially nominated as a member of the Chief Minister Steering Committee for Punjab Tourism Promotion and Development, while Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb will serve as the convener.

The steering committee is tasked with planning the construction, rehabilitation, and repair of important tourist spots to promote tourism.

It will also make recommendations regarding upgradation of historical, religious, cultural, and commercial sites for tourists.
