Punjab Govt Extends Imposition of Section 144 for One Month

Islamabad: The Punjab Government has extended the imposition of Section 144 for one month across the province. This extension aims to address ongoing security concerns by maintaining restrictions on certain activities.

According to Radio Pakistan, the extension includes a complete ban on flying drones in open areas due to security reasons. This measure is intended to prevent any potential threats that may arise from the misuse of drone technology. However, the government has allowed the use of small drones during ceremonies that take place inside halls and marquees, ensuring that events can proceed without disruption while still maintaining security protocols.

Law enforcement and intelligence institutions will remain exempt from this ban, allowing them to continue their operations without any hindrance. This exemption is crucial for maintaining public safety and ensuring that security measures can be effectively implemented throughout the province.
