Punjab Govt Implements Monsoon Emergency Plan Across Province

Lahore: The implementation of the Punjab Monsoon Emergency Plan has begun across the province. The Punjab Chief Minister has demanded a minute-to-minute implementation report of the plan to ensure its effectiveness.

According to Radio Pakistan, Emergency Operation Centers have been set up at the district level and will remain operational around the clock. The current spell of monsoon rainfall is expected to continue until Tuesday in various parts of the province.

Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Irfan Ali Kathia, has advised citizens to take precautionary measures, remain at safe places during thunderstorms, and keep vehicle speeds low. In case of any emergency, the public is encouraged to contact the PDMA Helpline at 1129.
