Punjab Govt Launches Province-Wide Pink Button System for Emergency Response

Lahore: The Punjab government, in collaboration with the Safe Cities Authority, has activated the Pink Button system across the province aimed at providing citizens with immediate emergency response facilities.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Pink Button system is directly linked with Punjab Police emergency helpline 15 and the Safe Cities central command and control centre. Once activated, an automatic alert is generated and sent to the control room, after which the nearest police and rescue teams are immediately dispatched to the location.

The system is being installed at public places, major highways, and sensitive locations across the province to ensure swift response in cases of harassment, robbery, theft, or medical emergencies.
