Punjab Govt Unveils Fiscal Year 2026-27 Budget as Balanced and People-Friendly

Lahore: Member Punjab Assembly Imran Javed has announced that the provincial government has presented a balanced and people-friendly budget for the fiscal year 2026-27. In an interview with Radio Pakistan correspondent Qasim Bukhari, Javed highlighted that the budget does not introduce any new taxes, while it allocates substantial funds for essential sectors such as health, education, and public welfare.

According to Radio Pakistan, the budget outlines a major initiative called “Generation Punjab,” with an allocation of 100 billion rupees. This initiative aims to empower young people by enhancing their skills, creating employment opportunities, and promoting entrepreneurship. The government intends to focus on youth empowerment as a key element of its economic strategy for the upcoming fiscal year.
