Punjab Health Minister Visits Children’s Hospital Lahore to Assess Facilities

Lahore: Following directives from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique visited Children’s Hospital Lahore to inspect the healthcare services provided to young patients. The visit included discussions on medical facilities with hospital management and staff, highlighting the government’s focus on improving healthcare for children.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab announcement issued on 13 October 2024, during his visit, Minister Rafique met with the hospital’s managing director, Professor Tipu Sultan, and other key staff members who briefed him on the current state of medical services. The minister specifically visited four-year-old Dua Fatima from Bahawalnagar, discussing her treatment directly to assess the quality of care provided.

Minister Rafique emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing treatment facilities at Children’s Hospital, noting ongoing plans to expand services. The visit underscores the provincial government’s prioritization of healthcare improvements, particularly for pediatric care, as part of broader health reforms.
