Punjab IG Orders Swift Justice After Fatal Gujranwala Shooting

Gujranwala: A grave shooting incident in Gujranwala, resulting from a land dispute that led to the deaths of two women and injuries to a man, has drawn significant attention from Punjab’s highest police authority. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has called for immediate action to apprehend those responsible and ensure justice for the victims’ families.

According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar has requested a detailed report from the Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Gujranwala and has issued directives to the City Police Officer (CPO) to secure the prompt arrest of the suspects involved. The urgency conveyed by the IG reflects the administration’s commitment to addressing violent crimes decisively.

The incident claimed the lives of Munaza and Tahira Bibi, and left Rustam Javed injured. Dr. Anwar emphasized that the handling of this case should prioritize the victims’ families, ensuring they receive justice swiftly and effectively.
