Punjab Police Eliminate Notorious Bandit in Rajanpur Kacha Area

Rajanpur: In a significant operation, Punjab Police successfully eliminated a notorious bandit, Akhtar alias Moti, during a targeted action against criminals in the Kacha area of Bangla Acha Circle, Rajanpur. This operation is part of a broader crackdown directed by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, aimed at curbing criminal activities in the region.

According to Punjab Police announcement issued on 28 September 2024, the encounter involved a fierce exchange of gunfire, resulting in Moti’s death. The spokesman for Punjab Police detailed that Akhtar was implicated in numerous serious offenses, including murder, attempted murder, kidnapping for ransom, and robbery. His criminal activities had long plagued the local community.

IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, lauded the Rajanpur Police for their bravery and effectiveness in neutralizing such a high-risk individual. He also reiterated the need for continued and intensified operations against bandits in the kacha areas, underscoring the commitment of the police force to restore peace and order in these challenging terrains.
