Punjab Police Mourns Loss of Officer in Tragic Road Accident

Jhang: Sub-Inspector Ali Abbas, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Kandiwal, tragically passed away in a traffic accident on Jhang-Sargodha Road. The incident has prompted an outpouring of grief and condolences from across the law enforcement community.

According to Punjab Police announcement issued on 12 October 2024, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, expressed deep sorrow over Sub-Inspector Abbas’s untimely death and extended heartfelt condolences to his family. He assured the bereaved family of the department’s full support during this difficult time.

IG Punjab has also directed the District Police Officer (DPO) of Jhang to stay in close contact with the officer’s family, ensuring that they receive all necessary assistance and support as they navigate through their loss. This gesture underscores the department’s commitment to standing by its members and their families in times of need.
