Punjab Police Promotes 53 Officers to Inspector Rank in Ceremony at Central Police Office

Islamabad: In a significant ceremony at the Central Police Office, 53 officers of the Punjab Police were promoted to the rank of Inspector. The event, which was attended by family members and senior officials, highlighted the Punjab Police’s commitment to maintaining law and order amidst challenges such as terrorism, religious intolerance, and extremism.

According to Punjab Police, Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar addressed the newly promoted officers, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, smart policing, and the use of modern technology to improve service delivery and ensure quick justice. Dr. Anwar instructed the officers to treat the poor with courtesy and deliver unbiased justice. He also announced that over 2,000 promotions are expected this year across various ranks, underscoring a significant investment in the force’s development.

The ceremony followed a promotion board meeting held yesterday, where 110 Sub-Inspectors were approved for promotion to Inspector. High-ranking officials, including Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry and DIGs Ahsan Younis, Suleman Sultan Rana, and Captain (Retd.) Liaqat Ali Malik, were present to pin the new ranks on the promoted officers. Dr. Anwar encouraged the Inspectors to serve the country selflessly and ensure fearless protection, reflecting on the critical role they play in upholding justice and security across Punjab.
