Punjab to Launch ‘PPMU’ for Departmental Performance Monitoring

Lahore: The Punjab government has announced its decision to establish the “Punjab Performance Management Unit” (PPMU) to assess and monitor the performance of various departments within the province. This initiative was revealed during a special meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif will personally oversee live monitoring across Punjab via a virtual tour wall and an integrated digital dashboard. This advanced system will enable her to check the attendance and performance metrics of every officer and official throughout the province.

The Performance Management Unit aims to enhance governance by reviewing the functioning of street vendors and bazaars, ensuring the availability of essential food items, and monitoring compliance with official price lists.
