Punjab’s Road Rehabilitation Program Achieves 24% Completion Milestone

Lahore: The Chief Minister of Punjab’s Sarkain Bahal Punjab Khushhal Program is advancing rapidly, with significant progress reported in the rehabilitation and construction of roads across the province. Under the supervision of the Communication and Works (C&W) Department, ongoing efforts have resulted in the repair and construction of 462 roads, with 1,558 kilometers of earthwork already completed.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Provincial Minister for C&W, Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth, received a briefing on the program’s progress. It was reported that 780 kilometers of sub-base work and 1,434 kilometers of base work have been completed, alongside surfacing work on 296 kilometers. Overall, 24% of the project has been completed as part of the initiative.

The C&W Department’s field teams are diligently working under strict monitoring to ensure the use of high-quality materials and the timely completion of the project. Secretary C&W, Sohail Ashraf, is overseeing daily progress to maintain the project’s momentum.

Provincial Minister Bharth reiterated that, following the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the program aims to provide superior travel facilities to the public. He highlighted the dedication of the C&W Department’s staff and the thousands of laborers working tirelessly to achieve the program’s objectives.
