Qaim Ali Shah says progress and prosperity of nation is linked with following principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Karachi, August 14, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that progress and prosperity of the nation is linked with following the guiding principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah including unity, faith, discipline and national integrity in the country.

This he observed while talking to media at mausoleum of Qaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, where he and the Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan arrived to perform flag hoisting ceremony and lay floral wreath on the mazar of the father of the nation Qaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah to celebrate 68th National Independence Day.

The Senior Sindh Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Minister Food Jam Mehtab Dahar, Sindh Minister for Prisons Manzoor Wasan, Minister Fishries Jam Khan Shoro, Minister for Minority Affairs Gianchand, Minister Industries Rauf Ahmed Siddiqui, Minister for Women Development Rubina Qaimkhani, Advisor to CM for Social Welfare Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, Advisor Culture Ms. Sharmila Farooqui, Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly Shehla Raza, Coordinator to CM Mohammad Siddique Abu bhai, Special Assistants to CM Waqar Mehdi, Rashid Rabbani, Haji Muzaffar Shajrah, Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana, IG Police Sindh Ghulam Hyder Jamali, Commissioner Karachi Shoab Siddiqui and other officers of Sindh and Federal government were present on the occasion.

Soon after arrival, The Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan and The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah jointly hoisted the national flag in the air amid the national anthem at 9:00am. After national flag hoisting ceremony both the leaders laid the floral wreath on the mazar of Qaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and prayed for national progress and prosperity.

While talking to media on this occasion the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that this country had been got independence through great sacrifices of our elders under the dynamic leadership of Qaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah for progress and prosperity of Muslims of subcontinent under his guiding principles including unity, faith, discipline and national integrity.

He said during the last tenure of PPP government the Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari and Qaid MQM Altaf Hussain with their unity and alliance we achieved goals of progress and prosperity through developmental activities and providing employment to the people.

He added that even both parties at present are demonstrating their same gesture and unity in the interest of nation and the country. And added that he was optimistic that we to come up to expectations of people of Sindh. He said that since we have achieved this country with great sacrifices, we must have to realize its importance and make it stronger to strongest under the principles of faith and unity.

He said that it was also our great achievement that people of Sindh including big cities like Karachi celebrated their Eid and Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm because of peaceful atmosphere being maintained by his government.

He said that every person witnessed that all shopping centers, bazaars of cities were opened for whole nights on both august events and people were busy to purchase and enjoy their happiness. The Chief Minister while paying rich tribute to the martyrs of Pak Army, who sacrificed their lives at the border and inside the country in the fight against terrorism to protect the nation, said that Pak Army has rendered its marvelous services to defend the country in difficult times.

The Pak Army has always played pivotal role in development and rescue operation during disasters and made undefeatable defence of the country, which according to him was the key factor of our development. He said that we are proud of it that we have the world’s best Army to protect the nation.

Responding to a question about present political development, the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah who was also president of PPP Sindh chapter said that at present the country cannot afford the confrontation like situation.

He said that democracy and constitution have the solution of our each problem. He said that though each individual has democratic right to protest but it should be within the limits of constitution. Conversion of any protest into confrontation and destruction was not acceptable, he said, and added that Lahore High Court has also given this verdict / decision.

He said that at present when Pakistan is being run under the democracy and constitution, then each problem should be resolved as per democratic and constitutional rules. He said that dialogue was the best way to resolve the problems and advised the political opponents to get their problems resolved through dialogue.

Later on the Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad, The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah along with other cabinet members inspected Pakistan’s largest National flag displayed at the courtyard of Qaid-e-Azam mazar and also met different school and scout delegates participating in the Independence Day celebrations at the Qaid-e-Azam mazar. Both leaders encouraged and applauded the spirit and efforts of the school children and exhorted them to keep their spirits at high.
