Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh Encourages Korean Investment in Pakistan’s Maritime Sector.

Islamabad: Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh has extended an invitation to the Korean government and investors to explore opportunities within Pakistan’s port and shipping industry. During a meeting with the Korean Ambassador to Pakistan, Park Ki Jun, held in Islamabad, the Minister emphasized the potential for Korean investment in the sector.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh pointed out that countries such as UAE, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, and Malaysia have already made substantial investments in Pakistan’s ports. He expressed optimism that Korean investors would also capitalize on these opportunities.

The Minister also highlighted additional sectors where bilateral collaboration could be enhanced, including renewable energy, solar, wind, hydropower, urban planning, and transportation projects. Furthermore, he acknowledged the value of the existing educational exchange programs between Pakistan and Korea, indicating a foundation for stronger ties.

Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Korea across pivotal sectors. He emphasized the goal of cultivating a relationship that would be mutually advantageous for both nations, with a focus on sustainable development and growth.
