Qatar Acknowledges Pakistan Armed Forces’ Role in Combating Terrorism

Doha: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, during an official visit to Qatar for the second round of the Higher Military Cooperation Committee, held discussions with Qatari Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani and Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim Mohammad Ahmad Al-Mannai. The discussions centered around the evolving regional security dynamics and a reaffirmation of their shared commitment to peace and stability on both regional and global levels.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee emphasized the historic brotherly ties between Pakistan and Qatar and explored future dimensions of cooperation in the defense and security domains under the framework of the Higher Military Cooperation Committee. The civil and military leadership of Qatar recognized Pakistan’s pivotal and responsible role in ensuring regional stability and appreciated the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.
