Quetta Administration Pledges Support for Minority Festivals and Welfare

Quetta: Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Sanjay Kumar, met with Additional Deputy Commissioner General Muhammad Anwar Kakar to discuss the allocation and distribution of the minority fund aimed at supporting education, health, and marriage within the minority communities. The meeting also covered the upcoming religious festivals for the Hindu, Sikh, and Christian communities in Quetta.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the discussions focused on the implementation of the minority fund, which the provincial government has allocated to assist the minority communities. Details regarding the beneficiaries who have received cheques were reviewed to ensure that the funds are being distributed effectively.

The meeting also addressed the preparations for the upcoming religious festivals, including Christmas on December 25, Diwali on November 1, and Baba Guru Nanak’s birthday in November. ADC Kakar assured full support from the district administration for these events, emphasizing the government’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and ensuring that these celebrations proceed smoothly and securely.
