Quetta District Administration Cracks Down on Illegal Profiteering and Price Violations

Quetta: Following directives from Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Lt. (R) Saad bin Asad, the district administration has taken decisive action against illegal profiteers, street vendors, and those not adhering to the official price list in Quetta.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during a comprehensive sweep of the city, enforcement teams inspected 138 various business establishments, including general stores, utility stores, ovens, butchers, bakeries, and yogurt shops. The crackdown led to the sealing of 11 shops, fines levied on 13 shopkeepers, and 37 receiving stern warnings. Further operations were conducted along Sariab Road by Maria Shamoon, under Assistant Commissioner (President) Captain (R) Hamza Anjum, and in Quetta’s main markets and streets under Assistant Commissioner (City) Abdullah bin Arif, demonstrating a city-wide commitment to maintaining fair pricing and market regulations.
