KARACHI: Quetta Textile Mills Limited has announced the scheduling of its 64th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for shareholders, set to take place on October 28, 2024. The meeting aims to discuss pivotal company matters and approve annual financial statements.
The AGM, convened a year after the previous meeting held on October 27, 2023, will start by confirming the minutes of the last year’s gathering. Subsequently, shareholders will review the Audited Financial Statement for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. This review will include comprehensive reports from the Auditors, the Chairman, and the Directors. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), a key focus of the discussion will be the insights and figures outlined in these reports, which have been made publicly available and can be accessed through the company’s official site.
Further, the agenda includes the appointment of the auditors for the upcoming fiscal year. The Board, following recommendations from the Audit Committee, proposes the re-appointment of M/s. Mushtaq & Co., Chartered Accountants, who are the retiring auditors but are eligible for re-election. The meeting will also address the fixation of their remuneration.
